Due to recent business transformations, in continuation of their pursuit of excellence, they are now seeking an experienced, high performing Technical Support Engineer to join their world class team in delivering complex projects in a very fast-paced environment.


The Role


As Technical Support Engineer for the Powertrain department, you will link the engineering and overhaul departments with the field service team by improving the product reliability of systems in the field.

You will identify and interpret live performancedata and distribute this information to allow both reactive and proactive maintenance services. Plus, provide technical support and direction to the associated teams.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in an Engineering related discipline.
  • The ability to analyse, document, interpret and present technical performance data to stakeholders/customers/internal teams.
  • A high problemsolving ability, skilled in rootcause analysis techniques, product testing and fault finding.
  • Strong experience working with traction equipment (EMU/DMU).
  • Experience working in a similar role within the Rail, Automotive or Aerospace industries.
  • A strong communicator with effective team working skills.
