THE COMPANY

This company work in one of the most important safety and security fields, regulating the operation of nuclear power plants.

They have a global footprint, and oversee operational security for 100s of facilities, connecting 100,000's of people.

THE ROLE

Part of a new UK team, the Data Scientist will oversee development of Machine Learning and predictive models to assess and better understand data from across the company, in order to provide insights and improve efficiency.

There's scope to grow out a bigfunction within the company, so the career progression opportunities here are big.

An understanding of Nuclear Physics and Energy management would be a big plus, but are not necessary at all, as training on the nuclear power side of things will be provided.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience with Machine Learning techniques
Classification, Segmentation, Forecasting etc.
Strong statistical knowledge, practical predictive modeling experience
Proficiency with Python/R and SQL, as well as a tool for visualising data (Tableau/Looker/Qlik/PowerBI )
Experience in the energy or nuclear industries would be a big plus, but not a requirement
The drive to build out a function, and
Good understanding of data management and engeineering
Excellent communication and presentation skills
