Transport Coordinator - Farnham, United Kingdom - Brightwells Gostrey

Description

We are seeking an highly organised individual to oversee the efficiency of our transport service and drive any of our vehicles in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of the passengers, other road users, members of the public and yourself at all times.

Main Duties
Coordination of the transport operation, including routing and scheduling.

Drive any of the Brightwells Gostrey vehicles on a daily basis in a responsible and competent manner

Liaise, as necessary with the Charity Manager/ Wellbeing Manager regarding client requirements.

Oversee vehicle arrivals and departures, communicating/ directing passenger assistants and assisting the clients to enter and leave the minibus, ensuring their safety and physical needs are fully met throughout each journey.

Carry out driver's daily vehicle checks, as well as basic maintenance inspections of the vehicles.

Ensure that other drivers are carrying out necessary checks to guarantee the safety of the vehicle and passengers at all times.

Be responsible for the cleanliness of all vehicles, inside and out and ensuring the vehicle is in a clean and roadworthy condition before and after use.

Refuel vehicles as required.

Maintain daily, accurate records of vehicle mileage.

Arrange routine safety/ maintenance checks for all vehicles.

Report any vehicle defects, faults, incidents and accidents to the Charity Manager for further instruction.

Light administration duties such as filing of mileage sheets etc.

Collection of food donations as part of the Neighbourly Surplus Scheme.


Experience
Clean driving licence (UK)

Experience as a Transportation Coordinator or similar role

Experience of driving a minibus and assisting passengers

A caring and compassionate nature

Excellent communication skills

An understanding of the importance of being reliable

A D1 on your license is desirable

A Midas qualification (or similar) or willingness to undertake training

First Aid Certificate holder is desirable although training will be arranged
