The role:


Using skilful negotiation, alongside in-depth business knowledge, complaint handlers are required to accurately investigate each customer complaint to find the correct and fairest outcome for both the business and the customer.


What will you be doing day-to-day?

  • Successful resolution of customer complaints within company QA, FCA and financial industry guidelines.
  • Gaining fair and appropriate compromise to prevent regulatory escalations.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders in both the immediate and wider business areas, providing feedback across all levels of the business to customer facing staff.
  • Managing escalated calls from the Contact Centres and direct from customers.
  • Liaising with managers within the business to collate evidence, understand correct policies and decisions and provide rationale for actions taken.

You will have:


  • A strong awareness of quality assurance standards, FCA and regulation requirements within the financial industry
  • Understanding of vulnerable customers and ability to identify them
  • Knowledge of specialist areas including Section 75, Fraud, Collections Strategies, and standard service complaints
  • Strong call handling expertise
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work to targets and tight timescales
