Job description:

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support an adult male with his complex care needs.

Our service user is a gentleman in his 60s who lives with his wife in Ashton under Lyne and requires assistance throughout the night on a 1:1 basis.

Spending time engaging with his care team is one of his favourite things.

He also loves listening to audio books and watching TV dramas such as police action and border patrol with his team.

He is also involved in the MND support club for his local area.

He is a late settler and can struggle to get to sleep and often have a restless night, you will be there to support him with all his care needs throughout the night and ensuring his comfort and well-being.

Our service can at times have difficulty communicating his wants and needs and he is particularly looking for someone patient and understanding to support him with his wishes.

You must be able to communicate clearly and concisely so he is able to understand and interpret what you are saying.

Previous experience working with individuals with Motor Neurones Disease is desirable, but not essential as Apollo Home Healthcare offers training to enhance your current skill set for you to become a complex healthcare worker.

Essential Experience Required

3 months of previous care experience
Personal Care
Moving and Handling
Medication Administration

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of Motor Neurones Disease
PEG Feeding
NIV Ventilation
Cough Assist

We have the following shifts available;

Part Time Nights
10pm 8am

Take a look at our pay rates

Weeknights:
£11.50 per hour (Approx. £115 per 10 hour shift)

Weekends:
£12:00 per hour ( Approx. £120:00 per 10 hour shift)

Bank Holiday:
£16.00 per hour (Approx. £160 per 10 hour shift)
