Fire Risk Assessor
Initial 3-month contract
£26 an hour, umbrella
Hackney

Overall, Purpose of Fire Risk Assessor:

  • To deliver an excellent fire risk assessment service within domestic housing and properties where housing have responsibility.
  • To undertake surveys and to follow these up to ensure we adhere to health and safety legislation and council procedures.
  • To take a cooperative lead in the strategic direction and delivery of the fire risk assessment.
  • To ensure best practice methods are used in the execution of the fire risk assessments. To always advocate the council's vision and values.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) technician grade or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working as a Fire Risk Assessor within social housing or the public sector
  • Excellent knowledge of fire safety practice, demonstrable through relevant qualification and work experience.
  • Professional fire safety management qualification from Fire protection association, fire industry association etc
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
