Transport Planner Required - Permanent Role

Our Client is a Market leading transport, supply chain and technical solutions business based in Slough.

They cover the UK & Ireland Freight, Technical Logistics, Overnight & Express, Secure Storage, Installations, Supply Chain Solutions, eCommerce, Warehousing and European White Glove Solutions.

You will be joining a specialist logistics team with years of experience as a Transport Planner with the opportunity of progressing within the company.

Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods
Monitor and track transport activities to ensure timely deliveries
Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations
Optimize delivery schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
Resolve any transportation issues or delays promptly
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards

Skills:

Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in using transportation management software
Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
Knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics processes
Problemsolving skills to address unexpected issues efficiently

You will be required to work on a rotation shift week to week, Monday to Friday;
Shift times are 06:00 - 15:00 AND 10:00 - 19:00

Starting Salary with be around £30-£35k but is negotiable based on experience.
