Job description for Junior Project Planner or Project Scheduler
Are you passionate about Project Planning or Project Scheduling? Are you looking to develop your skills in a unique role? We may have the perfect opportunity for you

We are currently looking for a Junior Project Planner and Scheduler to play a vital part in supporting some of our most complex and exciting projects.

Don't have experience in both Planning and Scheduling? Do not worry, so long as you have a desire to learn, we will provide specialist training and coaching to get you up to speed quickly.

What does Planning and Scheduling mean to us at DE&S?

Planning is determining the overall objectives of the Project and associated strategy for delivery along with 'what' is to be produced, 'who' will undertake the work, and 'how' the project will be achieved.

Scheduling involves the 'when', 'how long', and the 'sequence'. The Project Scheduler has the responsibility for preparing the project schedule, monitoring progress, and gaining inputs from all stakeholders.

Within this role, you will ensure all scope is captured, represented, controlled, and maintained within project plans.

In addition to this, you will work with suppliers and stakeholders to integrate relevant information and will be responsible for undertaking and managing the planning and scheduling activity for high complexity, and high-risk projects - helping to drive delivery.

Working at our Leonardo Helicopter site, you will get a hands-on concept of the projects that you will be working on, including seeing some of the Helicopters you have been supporting, in action, from your own desk.

Within this exciting and challenging post, you will follow technical standards to support Project Delivery, whilst working alongside a multitude of project teams, with your wider team consisting of over 100 employees.

We operate a hybrid working environment and the expectation is that you will attend site around two-three times a week according to business need/team.
