We are looking for apprentices in the following areas:
- Process Operator
- Laboratory Technician
- Electrical/ Instrument Technician
- Mechanical Technician
- Maintenance Planner
- Safety Technician
As a process Operator Apprentice you will work alongside highly skilled and experienced Process Operators and be part of a team at the Dow site that Operates the Production units.
Monitors process conditions, key performance metrics, equipment and control systems and makes appropriate decisions to maintain and/or achieve desired rates and conditions aligned with Plant/Site/Business goals.
Laboratory Apprentice
As a process Laboratory Apprentice you will work alongside highly skilled and experienced Analytical Technicians and be part of a team at the Dow site that supports manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses and evaluating results, as needed, which provides critical data.
Electrical or Instrumentation
As an Electrical or Instrumentation Technician Apprentice, you will maintain Electrical and Instrumentation systems along with the components that make up the different plants on site.
Electrical jobs mainly consist of working with motors, fuses, trace heating panels, distribution boards, earthing, making off cables, diagnosing and fixing electrical faults.
MechanicalAs a Mechanical Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you are an integral part of the DOW site. Equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes and pipework need daily attention. It will be your responsibility to maintain, repair or replace them with a very hands-on approach using specified tools.
PPE is extremely crucial for personal safety, chemical suits are often worn for jobs that involve working with certain substances.
You will fill out reports and job feedback sheets at the end of the day to inform colleagues and handover any problems encountered along the way.
Maintenance Planner
To carry out maintenance within our manufacturing areas, activities need to be planned and scheduled to ensure the task is carried out safely, on time and ensure minimum disruption to production.
As a maintenance planner, you will work within a team of experienced maintenance planners and schedulers providing details plans to execute work efficiently.
Scopes of work are recorded in our database including parts and tools required along with the number of maintenance technicians required and other support services.
Safety Technician
The Prime Responsibility of the ES&S Technician is to safely and efficiently identify, intervene, and correct any condition that may have a negative impact on People, Environment, Asset and Reputation.
