Finance Supervisor

  • Location: Reading, Hybrid working with 3 days a week in the office_
  • Contract Type: Permanent_
  • Hours: Full-Time_
  • Salary: From £28,000.00 per annum depending upon skills and experience_

About this Role and You


Reporting directly to our Financial Controller, as the Finance Supervisor, you will support the finance time on all day-to-day accounting and financial duties and will be responsible for daily financial duties with particular focusing on invoice-to-cash cycle, supporting the delivery of events and activities from a financial management perspective.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the daytoday management of the Finance Department
  • Coordination of the transactional requirements of the team
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of control accounts
  • Financial data analysis with financial mapping
  • Assistance in preparation of various tax returns, Gift Aid and Orchestra Tax
  • Deputising the Financial Controller and providing cover for the Purchase Ledger Clerk in their absence
If you have the followingwe'd love to hear from you:

  • Professional experience in a Finance role, ideally coupled with AAT Level 4 (technician) or equivalent qualifications
  • Knowledge of UK Charities/SORP
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels
  • Book-Keeping and management account production
  • A natural aptitude for systems and processes and always looking for continuous improvement
  • A proactive approach with a cando attitude and willing to listen to others and their ideas
  • Ideally some experience of working in the public or not for profit sectors
