HENRY Volunteer Service Coordinator
Fixed-term contract to 31 August 2026, 30 hours a week (0.8fte) across 4-5 days per week
Pro-rated salary £20,844 increasing by annual increments to £23,475 based on a full time salary of £26,056 - £29,344 salary
plus up to 6% matched pension contribution

This role will deliver a volunteer mentoring and peer support service as a part of the Best Start service working directly with pregnant and postnatal families during their children's first 1001 days of life.
We are seeking an organised, partnership driven and community focused Volunteer Coordinator for our Best Start Mentoring service providing peer support in pregnancy and volunteer management.
You will be working to lead on improved outcomes and reduce inequalities for local families delivering healthy weight, immunisations, smoking cessation and oral health messaging within the communities.
With excellent community partnership and effective volunteer management, you will lead the team, ensuring the smooth and safe running of a new and dynamic peer support project providing coordination, referral management ensuring that service delivery is high quality, culturally responsive.
Reporting to the Service Manager and working with a variety of community partners in health and early years, you will lead on intake, referral management, training and supervision.
You will oversee the intake and referral processes with community partners in health and early years and provide outreach, service promotion activities and coordination of service delivery for the local office and team.
You will also lead to develop and operate an online hub and the peer mentoring phone service to ensure pregnant women and families have access to ongoing support.
