The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Finance Team. You will help to support in the delivery of a championship winning service to the team. To ensure the effective running of Accounts Payable through timely delivery of supplier payments and query management. Building good working relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, including the delivery of management information. Leveraging technology to create efficiencies and process improvements, alongside managing and developing one direct report.

Key Accountabilities:

Accounts Payable supplier payments and query management Manage the operational relationships with MBGP's third party AP provider Ensure Service Level Agreements are met Train and mentor new team members Ensure suitable processes are documented and adhered to Minimise the frequency of manual paymentsInternal Reporting Define, agree, implement & maintain Accounts Payable KPI's Implement process enhancements to improve KPI measures Review invoice query reportsProcess Development Complete routecause investigations for repetitive invoice queries & processing problems Implement process improvements to reduce invoice queries & processing problems Implement System developments for improved automation and reliability, including statement matchingMonth End Responsibilities Reconcile the Accounts Payable Balance Sheets accounts on Working Day 1 post month end Ensure reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner
What we are looking for:

AAT or equivalent qualified or studying towards

SAP experience highly desirableExperience within an accounting role, preferably within the Financial Accounting sector Must be able to work effectively as both part of a team and using own initiative Must be able to work in fast paced, high pressured situations Problem solving and attention to detail is critical in this role
