Datatonic Academy is our dedicated training business which we launched to upskill businesses and exceptional individuals in Data and AI on Google Cloud.


We offer courses covering all aspects of Data and AI, including Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Analytics and more.

Wherever possible, we customise learning curriculums to meet our clients' needs, making hands-on exercises and theoretical learning as relevant to their business as possible.


We have already built strong foundations for the business to grow, with a world-class team of dedicated and highly experienced individuals.

As our client base grows, we are now seeking full-time Google Cloud Trainers to come on board and join the journey.


About the Role


As a full time Google Cloud Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering training sessions (in-person and virtual) on various Google Cloud technologies and topics to individuals and organisations.

We are seeking broad focus trainers with a range of experience in addition to specialist trainers within Data Engineering and Data Science/Machine Learning.

You will be delivering training sessions for learners of all different skill levels and working closely with our Account Managers and Learning Consultants to tailor curriculums to meet their needs.


In addition to delivering training, you will be creating and maintaining training materials, including presentations, hands-on labs and other instructional materials.

This includes supporting the development of assessments and evaluations for learners, assessing skill levels and the effectiveness of the training.

You will also be supporting the Account Managers with pre-sales requirements, assisting in the creation of proposals and Statements of Work for our training engagements.

You will be an engaging storyteller who can think on your feet. Your strong communication skills enable you to put people at ease and adapt to suit varied audiences and situations. You will bring an entrepreneurial mindset and you do not need to have come from a training background. This is an ideal opportunity for techies looking to transition into a training career.

You will be someone who enjoys learning and staying up-to-date with the latest Google Cloud technologies and updates. This includes attending and participating in industry events and conferences to build relationships and stay current with industry trends.

This is crucial for us to ensure training materials are current, and to provide effective guidance and support to learners.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering training sessions both virtually and inperson to classes of learners, both businesses and individuals
  • Designing or developing course curriculums
  • Creating and updating training materials and assessments
  • Providing oneonone or onetomany coaching and support to learners in between training sessions, including as part of hybrid programmes (e.g. where learners are completing selfpaced on demand study)
  • Working with other teams, especially Account Management and Technical, and clients to customise course content and provide input for presales activities (e.g. proposals)
  • Maintaining uptodate certifications for, and knowledge of, Google Cloud technologies within your focus area (or more broadly, dependent on your role)
  • Attending industry events and taking part in our own events or marketing

  • Experience working with Google Cloud in an engineering or data science role
  • Hold current certifications (Google and related) for relevant disciplines
  • A strong understanding of modern cloudnative infrastructure principles and your own specialism (Data Engineer, Data Science/Machine Learning Engineering)
  • A logical, methodical but flexible mindset
  • Passion for Google Cloud technologies and Data+AI in general
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills written and verbal and the ability to adapt these to your audience
  • A scrupulous attention to detail and a passion for delivering information in the most effective way

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
