WHAT TO EXPECT
The Chapter Lead supports the Chapter Head in developing & delivering the skills and technical roadmaps. This role aligns with Product delivery structures to ensure technical integrity of products delivered.


The Rear Wheel Steering Chapter Lead is accountable for the development and delivery of Rear Wheel Steer Systems (including the control system and software) for existing and future platforms.


This position will be within the Chassis Lateral Function Group in Body/Chassis Engineering, and will work closely with the wider Chassis Tech Centre Groups, Squads & Technical Specialists (utlising resource from other chapters including Motion Software) to ensure delivery onto vehicle programs.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Support & guide Chapter members in the development and delivery of systems solutions in accordance to the system design specification to meet the defined customer requirements
Support & guide Chapter members in the development and delivery of embedded software according to JLR process (KWS12.13/ ASPICE L3, ISO26262)
Ensure consistent and efficient delivery of Controls Software Integration across the range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles
Provide technical input & support to Product Squads (Programme/Unit on-cycle & Off Cycle) & other Chapters
Provide support across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected systems including issue resolution and objective data analysis
Ensure cross-functional technical design reviews are performed on the systems
Ensure Squads where your Chapter members are deployed perform appropriate technical design reviews (including software).

Guide Product Owners in generating Targets and Verification Methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.


WHAT YOU NEED
Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector
Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance
Successful delivery of control systems or dynamic systems for an automotive OEM or first tier supplier to a production standard
Working knowledge of Functional Safety and Cyber Security tools and processes.
Understanding of processes to create robust production embedded code through auto-code generation in the Mathworks toolchain
Full driving licence
Experience/knowledge of working in an Agile organisational structure
