Two exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Finance/Commissioning Team to work as a Finance & Compliance Officer within the Social Services Directorate on a full-time, temporary basis.

Funding is secured in the first instance to 31st March 2025.

As a Finance & Compliance officer, you will be required to provide expert finance support, advice and guidance for the strategic management of the Directorate finances and manage a variety of work packages as part of the Social Services Directorate Finance team.

You would be responsible for the direct line management of the Finance Officers in your specified work area.

You will support the team with an efficient and progressive service and assist with the organisation and delivery of all the administrative and financial support functions of the service area.

You will assist in organising, presenting and processing of financial information to support the operational delivery within service areas including budget preparation/monitoring and closure of accounts.

The team has recently undergone a restructure to increase resource to what is a busy, challenging but rewarding environment to work within.

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic professional who is highly committed and self-motivated.
