Lewis Psychology CIC is an awarding winning not-for-profit company and the only BACP Accredited counselling and psychotherapy service in Wolverhampton.

ABOUT THE POST

We are looking to recruit a counsellor/psychotherapist to provide
FACE TO FACE counselling/psychotherapy sessions at our Tettenhall Road office in Wolverhampton.

Extensive administration support will be provided including accepting bookings, initial assessment, collecting payments and any client liaison between sessions. In return we expect you to deliver a 50 minute session and write brief case notes.

Some of the benefits of working with us:

• An allocated block of 5 clients initially, which the service will fill with referrals to ensure a stable monthly income. Please note we are an oversubscribed service with a waiting list.
• A competitive sessional rate of £30 per session. Please note we operate a 48 hour cancellation policy so clients who fail to cancel in enough time are charged.
• Client contact outside of booked sessions is handled by Lewis Psychology. This means you only work the clinical hours you are paid for.
• We operate out of our own discrete premises on the ground floor of Deansagate, Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton. This includes a waiting area, staff kitchen and a comfortable and clientfriendly consulting room.
• We also offer free onsite parking and an onsite restaurant serving hot food and drinks.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- to provide
FACE TO FACE counselling to adults
- to have the capacity to work autonomously and within the BACP ethical framework
- to work within the overall framework of Lewis Psychology policies and procedures
- to write case notes in line with Lewis Psychology procedures

The successful applicant will have excellent clinical, written and verbal communication skills combined with experience of working in a role which requires a high attention to detail and the requirement to follow laid down procedures.

The ability to manage your time effectively and IT literacy are also essential.


KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED

Essential

• At least a degree in counselling or psychotherapy
• Member of a recognised professional body (BACP, UKCP, BPS, BABCP)
• Ability to work use different counselling psychology models within a coherent framework

HOURS
Mondays 9am to 2.10pm (5 clients)

or

Wednesdays 2.50pm to 8pm (5 clients)

or

Fridays 2.50pm to 8pm (5 clients)

or

Saturday's 2.50pm to 8.00pm (5 clients)

STATUS

Please note that this is a self employed position and it is your responsibility to ensure appropriate clinical supervision and insurance are in place.
