DO Recruitment are currently looking to recruit an experienced Buyer on behalf of a well established, privately owned and fast growing Construction company based in Sheffield?

Responsibilities:

To collaborate with the site construction teams to ensure that the projects are profitable for the organisation by purchasing the most cost-effective and appropriate materials.

to analyse problems and formulate effective solutions and to support the on going progress of the projects.

General and bulk material purchasing
Negotiate terms of agreement with all company suppliers
Approve purchase orders, organise and confirm delivery dates and material schedule and requisitions
Material usage monitoring for both bulk order and general material items
Supplier payment authorisations
Manage the company's supply accounts
Manage delivery of products and compliance with specifications

A proven buyer who possesses strong negotiation skills and excellent knowledge and understanding of buying construction materials. A confident communicator and competent technology user.
