In this role, you'll get the chance to flex your technical expertise while making a real impact on cutting-edge projects. Some of your core responsibilities will include:

    • Leading Design & Documentation – Prepare high-quality electrical engineering documents, including AutoCAD drawings, electrical calculations, technical reports, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Collaborating Across Disciplines – Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure inter-discipline compatibility, driving project success.
    • Client Engagement – Liaise directly with clients and contractors, both on-site and off-site, to ensure electrical design work is perfectly aligned with project requirements and client needs.
    • Workload & Time Management – Plan your tasks effectively, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within budget, and in line with HSEQ systems.
    • Site Surveys – Conduct site surveys, both independently and with client supervision, to gather critical data for the project design.
    • Continuous Improvement – Actively seek out ways to improve both your own work processes and the company's systems, sharing your insights with the wider team.
    • Professional Development – Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up to date with technical advancements, design standards, and legislative changes relevant to the electrical engineering field.

    What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an innovative and self-motivated Electrical Designer with a strong track record in the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or chemical sectors. If you possess the following skills and experience, we'd love to hear from you:

    • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in Electrical Design within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries, ideally across all stages of a project (Concept, FEED, Detailed Design).
    • Deep knowledge of BS7671: Latest Edition and ATEX compliance standards (BS EN
    • Familiarity with solar PV, renewable energy, and battery storage systems design.
    • Experience using tools like Trimble (Amtech) and AutoCAD for design calculations and drafting.

    • Ability to estimate time for tasks and manage workload effectively.
    • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
    • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage design changes and understand their impact on cost and timeline.
    • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.

    Why Join Us?

At OSL, you'll be part of a company that's leading the charge in innovative energy solutions. We foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning, where your input is valued and your career can thrive.
