Description
Do you have experience of managing and mentoring a team of Collections and Customer Service professionals as well as assist with strategy, automation and transformation?


The Head of Collections will strengthen ownership and delivery of Service Compliance following repatriation and service recovery Define and develop collections and recovery strategies that support customers' needs and outcomes.

Manage the performance of the department. The current structure has grown on the back of repatriation and has a number of FTEs with less than 2 years tenure


The role will be a hybrid working pattern with an expectation to be in one of our offices at least once a week - (Leeds, Sheffield, Salford, Bristol or Southampton).


What you will be doing:


  • Recruit, lead and develop an impactful team with a strong focus on delivering consistent service standards, positive outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the performance of the department including setting strategy for initial and ongoing training and development and ensuring a close working relationship with clients.
  • Creating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Debt management.
  • Responsible for driving performance through inspirational management, creating an innovative culture by continually upskilling your staff
  • Deliver performance at the optimal cost. Identify business improvement opportunities to realise cost efficiency's
  • Support in the identifying and managing key operational risks and managing mitigation appropriately.
  • Drive the development and implementation of longerterm enhancements to improve the performance of Operations
  • Developing your team and setting long term progression goals to enhance their career
  • Ensure there is effective stakeholder management across Service Delivery, Service Management and other departments.
  • Drive to create and improve new and existing processes
  • Manage and be point of contact for key projects/change within the team
  • Communicate and collaborate across diverse teams

What you need to have:


  • Experience leading a diverse Collections or Debt Recovery team is imperative
  • Experience of developing and operating successful performance frameworks,
  • Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues and create solutions and to resolve problems in relation to project or service delivery.
  • Ability to understand a broad range of complex information quickly and make decisions where opinions differ and/or there is no obvious solution
  • Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes.
  • Experience in managing and running projects

It would be good if you had:

  • Strong educational attainment and an honours degree
  • Experience working in a shared service environment

Salary:
up to £65,000 (plus a 3% flexible benefit) dependent on experience and development needs
