FX Artist

Ghost VFX
Required Skills:

  • Simulations such as smoke, fire, rigidbody destruction, liquid, particles, cloth, softbody, etc using Houdini
  • Having a good understanding of physical dynamics and natural phenomena
  • Good timekeeping and ability to solve problems under short deadlines
  • Working efficiently as part of a team and independently

Preferred Skills:


  • Communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups
  • Houdini Lighting/Look Dev experience
  • Basic knowledge of Nuke
  • Scripting/programming skills: VEX, Python, HScript
  • Experience of working with Linux
  • Knowledge of math and physics
  • Good artistic skills
  • Experience working in complex pipelines

Experience:


  • 35 years experience as a professional FX artist

Education:


  • BA/BS in applicable field is preferred
**Can be based remotely, but required to be near other offices - London, Manchester & Denmark
