Inventory Controller
Joule UK is one of the leading manufacturers of Hot Water Cylinders in the UK.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join our fast-paced business and dedicated team.


Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- control and account for all parts, ancillary's, stock levels, and advise Production Management on stock requirements.

  • To investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of stock levels.
  • Perform stock counts to ensure all inventory is accounted for and kept accurate within our ERP system.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Investigate and correct any reported inventory discrepancies, using root cause analysis to determine suitable long term corrective actions for any reoccurring problems.
  • Liaise with Management and other departments to identify and implement inventory control related processes and procedures as part of our continuous improvement plan.
  • Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
Proven track record of stock management within a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience using ERP systems would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a variety of activities at the same time.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, proactive, 'can do' attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Good PC skills and knowledge of current systems (Microsoft packages)
  • Previous experience of managing inventory within a manufacturing/warehouse environment and a reasonable awareness of BOM's and consumption processes.
  • Previous experience using and implementing Kanban, visual management, justintime and other lean tools and systems for the benefit of stock control.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. However, flexibility is required to support monthly/annual stock taking when required, including weekends.

Salary:
£26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
