Gent Transport & Warehousing has a vacancy for a part time evening shift supervisor to join our busy warehouse operation on a permanent basis.
Gent Transport and Warehousing are a family business based in Yate, Bristol who are celebrating their 50th Year in business this year.
The role involves picking and putting away pallets within our busy warehouse driving a reach truck.It may also involve loading and unloading trailers using our counterbalance forklift trucks, so previous experience and licenses for both reach truck and counterbalance forklifts is a must.
Reach Truck & Counterbalance forklift licenses.
A 'can do' approach to their work and the ability to work under pressure - balancing effectiveness to get the job done in a time effective manor and remaining safe at all times.
Some experience of bar code scanning would be useful but not essential.
Working from pick lists with attention to detail; Checking what has been picked ready for loading.
Previous experience in a similar environment.
The ability to work in accordance with all health and safety instructions, notices and safe working practices
Checking products for visual damage.
Your normal working hours would be Monday to Thursday from 1pm until 9pm, there is occasional overtime including some weekends and bank holidays.
A full clean driving license would be beneficial, as we work towards a multi facetted workforce who can work between departments as and when the business may need it.
