Description

The role:
Cover Supervisor - Monday to Friday - 8:30 until 3:15pm

  • Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher
  • Sole responsibility for teaching and learning
  • Delivering preplanned lessons
  • Using provided resources to encourage learning
  • Managing the behaviour within the classroom
  • Developing independent study skills and peer learning
  • Pastoral and learning support
  • Managing handover back to the teacher
  • Experience of teaching or covering Geography, History, Science or English would be beneficial
  • Working in schools or colleges
  • Sports coaching
  • Youth work
  • Drama Workshop / drama school/ theatre in education
  • Art workshop
  • Teaching children or leading children's clubs in community groups or places of worship
  • Breakfast clubs/ After school club
  • Summer Camps/ PGL
  • Scouts/Guides/Brownies/Cubs
  • Outdoor activities instructor / Duke of Edinburgh/ orienteering with young people

To join us and be successful in this graduate cover supervisor role, you will need to:

  • minimum of six week's experience in the last 3 years of working with groups of children or teenagers
  • A referee Tradewind can contact to take a detailed reference to account for this experience
  • Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Bachelor's degree or similar equivalent qualification
