Job Title:
Procurement Administrator
The Challenge:
As part of the Commercial Services team, reporting to the procurement manager, this individual will work closely with the finance team to manage shopping cart compliance and purchase order creation in our SAP By Design system.
They will undertake a variety of administrative tasks, including but not limited to: creation of letters to notify suppliers about tender information, collation of clarification queries and coordination of responses, setting up meetings and coordinating discussions, doing desktop research to identify relevant suppliers, contacting relevant suppliers, triaging new requests and escalating issues, capturing actions in meetings and communicating these effectively, administrating our mailbox, task management software and contract database.
They will ensure that shopping carts align with Catapult governance procedures, managing any issues with internal stakeholders and escalating when needed.
Attention to detail and the confidence to challenge will be key factors to success in this role but support will be readily available.
They will seek to challenge and improve ways of working, supporting a culture of continuous improvement by offering their own ideas and suggestions.
There are various reports they will be responsible for, including reporting against Framework spend, payments compliance notices and working with other finance colleagues to assess suppliers economic and financial standing.
They will set up new suppliers on the system and make sure they have been through the appropriate due diligence protocols.
They will also conduct basic reporting on spend data to support with managing compliance and pipeline building.Ways of Working:
