ABOUT US:AVK Syddal is part of the AVK Group; who are market leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of valves, pipe fittings, hydrants and flow control equipment to the Water, Waste Water, Oil and Gas industries throughout the world.

At our site in Hyde, we are looking for a well-rounded Fabricator to join the team on a permanent basis.

You will be manufacturing bespoke Dismantling Joints, Flange Adaptors and Couplings to technical drawings, this will include Cutting, Rolling and Welding of plate to create the above products.

We are looking for an experienced Fabricator who is able to work from both technical drawings or verbal descriptions.

This is a physically demanding role and would suit a highly motivated individual who can work unaided or as part of a team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Carrying out all general fabrication work within the workshop
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacture to drawing
Verifying dimensions and product specifications
Ensuring that quality control standards are met
Maintaining a production schedule
Troubleshooting and stress testing products to minimise problems or recalls
Reporting and detailing product malfunctions

ABOUT YOU:

Good attention to detail
Previous experience in a fabrication workshop
Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
Have an understanding of basic inspection and measurement tools
Self Motivated, organised and a keen eye for detail
Ability to keep to tight deadlines
