Mornington Hotel Hyde Park is looking for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team

You will be required to work weekdays and weekends.


Duties:


  • Attend to all guest queries in a prompt, professional manner ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction
  • Complete a seamless checkin and checkout service for all our guests
  • Knowledge of activities in the area (theatre, arts, exhibits, concerts, shows, sports and leisure activities)
  • To act as a point of contact for all guests, providing assistance and offering them efficient customer service, identifying their needs as well as product knowledge
  • Being able to serve at the Bar
  • To know details of the day's arrivals, identify priority guests, VIPs and ensuring their rooms are checked prior to arrival and placed with relevant VIP amenities

Job Summary:


The Receptionist position is responsible for providing a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere to all guests, ensuring the efficient operation of the front desk and the smooth flow of guests through the office.

The Receptionist will greet guests, provide directions and assistance, answer phones, and assist with general office duties.


Essential Duties:


  • Greet guests warmly and provide helpful information
  • Answer a variety of multiline phone system and direct calls appropriately
  • Perform all duties on time with attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Handle all incoming mail, correspondence, invoices, and purchase orders with care and accuracy in correspondence with vendors/customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

Experience:


  • At least 6 months of customer service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in an office environment (i.e., customer service, receptionist, administrative assistant) is a plus but not required.
  • Customer service experience will allow the Receptionist to assist in answering phones and answering questions from guests.
  • Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Slides) is a plus but not required. However, experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is a plus but not required.

Salary:
£12.00 per hour
