Mornington Hotel Hyde Park is looking for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team
You will be required to work weekdays and weekends.
Duties:
- Attend to all guest queries in a prompt, professional manner ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction
- Complete a seamless checkin and checkout service for all our guests
- Knowledge of activities in the area (theatre, arts, exhibits, concerts, shows, sports and leisure activities)
- To act as a point of contact for all guests, providing assistance and offering them efficient customer service, identifying their needs as well as product knowledge
- Being able to serve at the Bar
- To know details of the day's arrivals, identify priority guests, VIPs and ensuring their rooms are checked prior to arrival and placed with relevant VIP amenities
Job Summary:
The Receptionist position is responsible for providing a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere to all guests, ensuring the efficient operation of the front desk and the smooth flow of guests through the office.
Essential Duties:
- Greet guests warmly and provide helpful information
- Answer a variety of multiline phone system and direct calls appropriately
- Perform all duties on time with attention to detail
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Handle all incoming mail, correspondence, invoices, and purchase orders with care and accuracy in correspondence with vendors/customers
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Experience:
- At least 6 months of customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience in an office environment (i.e., customer service, receptionist, administrative assistant) is a plus but not required.
- Customer service experience will allow the Receptionist to assist in answering phones and answering questions from guests.
- Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Slides) is a plus but not required. However, experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is a plus but not required.
