An industry leading advanced technology manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Senior IT Engineer to join their team at their significant operation in Leicester.

Working for a leader in their sector the company has recently expanded and is recruiting a hands-onSenior IT Engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of IS activities including general IT support, infrastructure improvements and upgrades.

Commutable from:
Leicester, Coventry, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Rugby, Loughborough, Corby, Market Harborough.

Salary:
£ 35,000 - £ 45,000 p.a. + benefits

IT Manager, IT Controller, IT Supervisor, IT Engineer, ICT Manager, IT Lead, IT Support Manager, IT Technician.

The Role

Reporting to the Group IT Manager, you will be responsible for providing site support at a leading and growing technology operation, this will include budgetary responsibilities and accountability for the IT site functions.

Key responsibilities:
Support daily systems operations

Identifying areas for investment and improvement

Configuring and rolling out new hardware

Checking and running back up processes

Purchasing of new equipment and managing its installation.

Work with management on new product introduction

Support of approximately 200 users (office and home based)

Ensure all IT equipment onsite is protected and in compliance with corporate requirements.

Ensure corporate IT Polices & Procedures maintained and complied with.

Experience working in a similar position with minimum 4 years working in IT operations.

Experience of successfully leading and/or managing IT infrastructure projects and rolling out IT infrastructures

Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration

Strong project management skills

Good customer service skills
