JOB TITLE:
FRAME ASSEMBLER





DEPARTMENT:
FRAME ASSEMBLY





IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
FRAME ASSEMBLY SUPERVISOR / FMU MANAGER


PURPOSE OF JOB:
To glue/staple/screw/dowel piece parts to assemble frames according to prescribed method.


MAIN DUTIES:


  • Identifies work to be done from Production board/Supervisor.
  • Positions barrow of piece parts in pen.
  • Stocks pen with sundries i.e. screws, staples, glue etc. for days production.
  • Notifies Supervisor of any shortage/incorrect parts.
  • Makes subassemblies as required i.e. side panels, top arms, top back rail etc.
  • Sets up sub assemblies ready for final assembly.
  • Assembles frames from sub assemblies and stack on trolley when complete.
  • When individual trolley is full, signs all frames and pushes to holding area, obtain replacement trolley.
  • When production is complete pen must be fully swept, rubbish bagged and taken to skip. Empty barrow pushed to track end.
  • Complete daily worksheet with all relevant information i.e. production, overtime, downtime etc.
  • Housekeeping is the responsibility of the operator for working area.

  • Monday
  • Thursday 6.15am 3pm.
  • Friday 6.15am pm.

Lebus produces quality hardwood frames from seasoned timbers with all joints glued and pinned for triple strength and rigidity.
