Description
Cornerstone Partnership are a social enterprise looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team of 14. We currently operate an expanding portfolio of over 230 properties across the West Midlands and Warwickshire.

We deliver social housing through partnerships with large charities and Local Authorities, who are experiencing an increasing demand to provide affordable and emergency accommodation.

We specialise in property procurement, tenancy management and housing operations to provide accommodation for the homeless.


Job Duties

  • Management of the General Ledger (including Purchase Ledger, Sales Invoicing, and Inter-Company Accounting) and Chart of Accounts
  • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts receivable responsibilities
  • Have responsibility for credit control
  • Assisting our Accountants with the completion of various statutory requirements e.g. VAT returns, CT600, CT61, CIS & submission of annual accounts to companies house.
  • Supporting with the collection of tenant rents
  • Processing of expenses
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Weekly/monthly reporting of KPIs

Support the Business and Finance Analyst with

  • Preparing and reviewing accruals and prepayments.
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset/lease asset register including appreciation and depreciation as required.
  • Company payroll of approximately 16 employees and expenses followed by PAYE submission using Xero Accounting Software and updates to Nest Pensions
  • Annual budget preparation in conjunction with management team
  • Biweekly cashflow forecasting

- Monthly Management Accounts preparation including KPI reporting for review of the Board


Skills & Qualifications

  • Xero accounting software experience desirable
  • Excellent Excel skills and highly IT literate
  • Ability to use initiative to identify and tackle problems to ensure an effective solution is found.
  • Willingness to get involved with all aspects of the business

Education

  • Bachelor's (preferred but not essential if qualified by experience)

Experience

  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)
  • Property Sector (desirable)

Salary:
£27,000.00 per year
