The Research Centre for Manufacturing and Materials (CMM) and the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) within the Research Centre for Clean Growth and Future Mobility (CGFM) at Coventry University, is seeking to recruit a capable and experienced Assistant Professor to take an exciting position in the growing area of Sustainable Manufacturing.


This is an immediate opening for a highly motivated individual with a PhD or equivalent professional experience demonstrating an ability to carry-out independent research, a track-record of high-quality research publications and demonstrable experience supporting the delivery of UKRI grant funded projects in Sustainable Manufacturing.


The focus of the successful applicant's work in this post will be to perform leading role in the delivery of impactful research activity within the CMM/AME in the area of Sustainable Manufacturing.

The key areas of expertise we are looking for includes the following:

  • Sustainability in Manufacturing Systems
  • Life Cycle Analysis
  • Carbon accounting in manufacturing
  • Value chain analysis
  • Solid experience in UK/EU project development and management
  • Experience with Big Data and Analysis
