Part of Lineage Logistics are Yearsley Food, who are one of the largest UK Importers and Distributors of Frozen Foods in Wholesale, Foodservice and Retail.

Our business is based in Heywood and is home to 50+ colleagues - many of whom joined Yearsley Food early in their careers; usually after leaving education and progressed into management roles; in areas such as Purchasing, Account Management, Food Safety or Importation.

If you are looking for your first career and have good people skills; open to learning - and keen to progress a career in a supportive environment, then this role will help you build foundations for a rewarding career in a successful food business.

The role

In this role you will:

Spend a number of months building a detailed understanding of how our business works and how we manage our customers.
Spend time in various departments understanding the various career paths available to you.
Initially supporting colleagues with varied but important tasks; you will be building relationships with Suppliers and Customers to understand their needs, helping us to buy goods from worldwide sourcing and learning all the processes required to keep us competitive and market leaders in our field.

Who we're looking for:

Good interpersonal skills
Experience of dealing with, or building relationships with people/customers would be ideal but not essential
A highly motivated person, who has drive and ambition
Openness to learning and able to deal with constructive feedback
Keen to develop a career in the food industry
Clean Driving Licence
