About the Role

  • We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Management Apprentice to join our team starting in August / September 2024. This is a 2 year Level 4 Apprenticeship and will be based at our LM Office within the RAF Marham site supported by studies at an appropriate educational facility.
  • Have you ever organised a party, planned an event at school and/or college, arranged a holiday or completed a piece of coursework with a group? Have you had a parttime job? If so, it is likely that you have used project management skills. Every industry employs project managers or uses project management skills.
  • You will also have the opportunity at undertake a number of Lockheed Martin Programme Management and business training courses which will complement your external training.
  • The onsite learning will see you embedded into various projects at RAF Marham where, with guidance from Subject Matter Experts, you will develop skills and gain experience to provide evidence of you knowledge and learning. You'll be exposed to all disciplines of Project Management, providing you with the best possible start to a career in Project Management.

This apprenticeship is based on the Association of Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge.

  • Project Management Apprentices may become Student Members of the APM at the start of their Apprenticeship.
  • Upon completion you will have a qualification enabling registration with the IPMA (International Project Management Association) Level D, which enables them to be registered with the APM as an Associate member.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • GCSEs in Maths and English at (Grade 9 / C or above)
  • A desire to pursue a career in Project Management
  • Organised, able to plan and prioritise tasks
  • Good communication skills
