West of England Council (Hybrid Working BS1 6AL)

Rate - £16 per hour
The West of England Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Finance Officer, to join the Finance team.

Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:

Ensuring that invoices, journals, grant payments and other financial transactions are processed in a timely, accurate, effective manner, resolving supplier and other queries.
Completing, reviewing, and clearing bank account and balance sheet control account reconciliations monthly and maintaining appropriate documentation to support the audit
Maintaining the Finance Outlook inbox and ensuring all queries are actioned.
Providing financial and management accounting information, both regular and adhoc, to Directors and Managers within the West of England Combined Authority to enable them to manage financial resources effectively.
Challenging and improving financial systems, processes, and controls to get best value for taxpayers' money.
