Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust introduced the Trainee Nursing Associate role in September 2018.

In order to support our trainees in the workplace we are currently looking to appoint two Registered Practitioners to support the existing Coordinator and Practice Assessor in a number of areas including adult nursing, community nursing and children's nursing.

Successful applicants will work with the trainees in their base and contrasting placements providing learning support for the work base learning element of their qualification.


You will need to be confident in your approach to teaching and demonstrate suitable clinical experience with excellent clinical standards.

You will be expected to react quickly to situations with confidence within the role and be able to work autonomously when required.

We have a full time vacancy to cover adult and community.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of clinical support and supervision of the Trainee Nursing Associates within the clinical setting and in collaboration with other members of the
Wider Workforce training team within the Academy. The post holder will assist in providing a professional and responsive service which is inclusive of all relevant staff members, and will promote safety and equality
of opportunity for all trainees as they develop within the Trust. The post holder could be required to work shifts which would be reflective of the working patterns of the trainees, thus allowing for maximum benefit of
each supervisory episode.

The role will also require you to be part of the review and development of new training programmes specifically for the Trainee Nursing Associates.

We want you to be innovative and questioning in your approach to training and be able to assist in these new programmes.

We are looking for a person who is a passionate advocate for high standards of care but also is a team player looking to be part of a dynamic Academy team


You will also be expected to be able to ensure all your work is research based and have knowledge of current research engines.
