Playwork Team Leaders and Assistants

To join a Brand New Team for Nanny Me

Breakfast and After school and Holiday Club


We have a number of amazing new opportunities for confident and outgoing individuals looking to develop their leadership and playwork skills in the childcare sector.


Our Team Leaders will join our experienced management team where they will help lead a dynamic team in delivering high quality care and play for children aged 8- 11 years of age.

You will have a direct input into the activities and play that is delivered.


Our Playwork Assistants will join a fun and inclusive team where they will be given opportunities to develop their skills in delivering play and care.

There will also be opportunities for career and skill set growth if wanted.


At Nanny Me we pride ourselves on providing a safe, engaging and fun space for our children and encourage our staff to put their own individual stamp on activities in order to build strong and trusting relationships with the young people.


We need Team Leaders who:

  • Have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Early Years or holds Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have a minimum 2 years experience of working with children aged years
  • Have management and leadership experience or has been working towards stepping up into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and effective running of the setting for children to enjoy and thrive in.
  • Direct, manage and supervise the setting staff, taking an active role in their induction, training and development.
  • Have a good understanding of the relevant national standards and guidance for Out of School Care. A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues and procedures is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to inform, persuade, inspire and motivate children and staff and provide feedback for professionals and parents.
  • Organisation skills and the ability to perform administrative tasks.
  • You must be computer literate to undertake tasks using computers, such as: payment processing, word processing and spread sheets.

We need Playwork Assistants who:


  • Have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Early Years or similar
  • Have 12 years experience of working with children aged years

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children from 811 years of age
  • To work as part of a team in order to provide a safe environment and exciting activities for the children. Duties will include setting up and arranging equipment ready for activities, running activities with the children and tidying up afterwards
  • To give support to the other team members within the facility and to follow the instructions of the management team
  • To be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, good practice, club policies and procedures
  • To promote the high standards of the club at all times to parents, staff and visitors
