**Salary: £44,923 - £49,915 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week****Type: Permanent, 52 weeks


Holidays: 25 days (+ bank holidays)**Seashell is a charity dedicated to providing a creative, happy and secure environment for children and young people years old) with complex needs and additional communication challenges from across the UK.

Our site holds our Outstanding (Ofsted)special School, specialist College, and 17 on-site residential homes for children and young people with complex learning disabilities, physical disabilities and multisensory impairments.

We are looking for a Lead Nurse to join our Health Team.

This role is an opportunity for an individual looking for a challenging and dynamic role with an interest in developing our Health Team and the delivery of the nursing service model.

You should bededicated to achieving demonstrable improvements in health, social and educational outcomes for children and adults with complex needs at Seashell.


Role Summary

  • Operational delivery of nursing services across the school, college, respite/short breaks and residential homes
  • Professional leadership, management, and clinical supervision to the nursing team
  • Management of nursing team's financial resources ensuring equitable, effective, and efficient deliveryof the nursing service within the resources available
  • Strategic development of the nursing services, leading innovative and creative practice to enhance the efficiency of the service
  • Support implementation of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to support monitoring of compliance with clinical governance standards
  • Collaborative working in conjunction with those who form the multidisciplinary teams including the Local Authority, therapy, education and social care teams both internally and externally

Requirements:


  • RMN (as well as RGN and RNLD) with current NMC registration (essential)
  • Substantial SEND school / college nursing experience and collaborative decisionmaking experience
  • Proven experience in preservice assessment, care pathway planning, service delivery and outcome measures
  • Experience in development and delivery of training
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, including severe communication difficulties and challenging behaviour
  • Previous management of qualified and nonqualified staff
