Volant Media is growing its in-house creative and motion graphics team for its ground-breaking broadcast news channels and digital platforms.

The Creative Department is responsible for all brand, visual identity, promos and graphics content for Volant Media's channels and services.

Reporting to a senior member of the Design team, you will create inventive, inspired and creatively excellent still and motion graphics for Volant Media's live daily news output, and for longer-term projects.

Due to the nature of our services, you must have the ability to work a flexible schedule on a shift basis across mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities:

You will create still and motion graphics for a wide variety of platforms such as TV, mobile, and online creating title sequences, infographics, AR, explainers, maps, and graphic templates for production users.
As part of the Creative Design team, you will liaise closely with Creative colleagues and the editorial production teams to create high quality, creative and innovate motion graphics.
You will regularly collaborate with other members of the Design team.
You will create designs that consider our audience's needs and showcase the brand while working within the brand guidelines.
You'll have core design skills including typography, composition, artworking, colour design, information design and animation.
You will be able to bring the relevant design skills to deliver the most appropriate solution for the brief.
Be a proactive team player who can assist with the changing priorities in a dynamic team and deliver great designs that are editorially accurate and produced to a high standard.
You'll have a strong portfolio or showreel of original visual design examples.

Requirements:

Formal design qualification, or industry experience with a proven track record of motion design.
Great graphic design skills.
Great communication and presentation skills.
Strong working knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Cloud.
Keen interest in the latest design tools, relevant technology, along with visual trends across broadcast and social channels.
Interest in news and awareness of current affairs.
Possess technical and practical creativity, strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred

Farsi, Dari or Pashto reading, writing and conversation.
Understanding of Broadcast design principles, television production or live production environment.
Experience of animation and 3D packages such as After Effect and Cinema4D.
