Description
The role of the Shift Worker Switchboard Operator is to deal with internal and external callers, and to transfer calls to appropriate departments and staff efficiently.
The post-holder will be required to manage general callers enquiries in a polite and calm manner. You will also be responsible for processing emergency calls and various alarms.The role is suitable for an individual that can work alone after being fully trained.
Key Duties:
To answer calls into switchboard and direct call to the appropriate departments and staff, and to deal callers general enquiries.
To process bleep and pager communications.
Record actions as required.
You will be working part of your shifts with a team of 3 other staff, of a contingent of eight others and a part time manager.
All operators work in the same Switchboard Office.
