Older Peoples Project Coordinator - London, United Kingdom - Bengali Workers Association
1 week ago
Description
Bengali Workers Association (BWA)
The Bengali Workers Association was established in 1976 and has offered the crucial support that has enabled local people to assume greater responsibility for themselves and their communities.
We aim to achieve this via a weekly programme of classes and session at our Surma Community Centre, to keep them safe and well, improve health and wellbeing, reduce isolation, loneliness and exclusion, and develop their skills and capabilities.
We aim to offer tailored exercise sessions, a luncheon club and a social club. We will also offer information, advice and assistance around money management and entitlements. Building clear referral pathways will be integral to this role and will be offered in both Bangla andEnglish.
It is important that beneficiaries are enabled to play a key role in deciding the content of our sessions and support offered to them.
To be successful in this post, you will need to be social, positive and have the desire and drive to improve the lives of our elderly.
