Description

Arc is an industry leading and award winning CCTV Operating and Alarm Receiving Centre. We monitor sites across the UK from our recently refurbished, high spec, busy, control room.


Your duties will include:


  • Monitoring CCTV Activity and images for criminal or suspicious activity.
  • Taking incoming and making outgoing telephone calls, liaising with customers, clients and security companies.
  • Updating and reporting on clients recorded information and creating brief incident reports.
  • Handling and management of alarms


You will be a great problem solver, with a keen eye for detail, you will have a professional telephone manner, wanting to provide the highest standard of customer service possible, The role would suit someone with call handling experience who is unafraid to multi-task.

Teamwork is vital in this environment and you will need to be fully committed in supporting your colleagues.

No matter the challenge, youll take the time to build on your knowledge and experience to deliver the excellent, Arc service.

Screening & Training

If successful you will attend a course to obtain the SIA CCTV qualification (Company Funded). Courses run between 08:00 - 18:00 for 3 consecutive days.


You will also be required to attend a minimum of 20 hours training in house, typically between the hours of 08:00 - 20:00, however these hours can be adjusted to suit individual needs.

  • As a CCTV operator, there will be occasions where you will be reporting on criminal activity. We offer a £35 bonus to you should you successfully view a crime and forward the information onto the Emergency Services who subsequently make an arrest.

Entry requirements


Maths and English GCSE's at grade 4 or above, if you don't have this you will need to sit this along side the apprenticeship.

Must be able to work in a control room with no windows and multi screen working and IT literate.

Training to be provided


Your apprenticeship is a 12 month duration and a portfolio must be built on to meet all knowledge, skills and behaviour requirements for the apprenticeship standard.

Full commitment is needed.


Employer training:


  • Dealing with real life incoming alarms.
  • Dealing with intruder, panic and fire alarms.
  • Dealing with different alarm conditions for CCTV and alarm systems.
  • Escalate human activity CCTV alarms.
  • Understanding different alarm conditions and how to react.
  • Training on different software programmes to deliver the Arc product.
  • Dealing with life critical alarms.
  • Liasing with emergency services.
  • Understanding the overall control room function
  • CCTV licencing
  • Training on security systems.
Things to consider

We are currently looking for full time team members to work day shifts in our 24/7 Control room.
Working 12 hour shifts | 4 days on - 4 days off | 08:00 - 20:00.

Day shifts - 8am-8pm (£12.10 p/h)
Night shifts - 8pm - 8am (£13.10 p/h)
