Spalding Taxis are looking for Telephone Operators to join our team based at our head office in Spalding.

You will need access to your own transport to get to our head office as there is no public transport.

We are recruiting for operators on a full time or part-time basis. These roles will have an element of working shifts which will include evenings and weekends.

You must be flexible with working hours as you may be required to work extra shifts to cover holidays and sickness and busy periods if required.

Notice will be given for these. We however are operating 24 hours a day so some unsociable working hours will be required on certain shifts.

You will be working in a secure office environment using our in house dispatch system. Full training will be provided for this.

You will need to be organised, have an excellent telephone manner and a great customer service attitude with a good knowledge of Spalding and the surrounding areas.

You must be a good team member but confident to work alone and use your own initiative.

You must be reliable, good at working under pressure at peak times and be confident to operate a computerised system.

The successful applicants will need high levels of accuracy and concentration. This role is in a very fast paced environment. Must be able to work under pressure in a calm, professional manner.

Main tasks will include:

Taking and dealing with booking and enquiries over the phone, providing quotes, dispatching work to drivers, recording and inputting information accurately and communicate with customers efficiently and professionally.

Assisting drivers where required.

Negotiable depending on experience.
