Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Lead Operative in our filling department at our Grimsby site. In Grimsby, we manufacture fresh soups for our New Covent Garden brand and for private label.The role of the Lead operative is to support the Team Leader in the management of all aspects and actively assist in delivering all KPIs.
You will assume the responsibility and accountability of the Team Leader role during absence/holiday. Participate in a 'hands-on' role, maintaining delegated tasks. Encourage operators to maintain a 'clean as you go' policy in a safe working environment.Key Responsibilities
- Manage operators in their daytoday tasks, ensuring effective use of labour.
- Ensure that all operators are at and leave work stations on time
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping and be responsible for presentation of department to customer visits/audits and Senior Management
- Fully support and drive through continuous improvement on health & safety
- Minimise waste and brief team on material or packaging variations and any rejections
What you will need for the role / what it will take
- Relevant level of education GCSE at C or above
- IT literate
- 23 year experience in the FMCG business
- Effective interpersonal skills
