About the Role
In this exciting new role, you'll play an important role contributing to the delivery of bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) globally and supporting the development of advocacy for Drax's carbon removal objectives across multiple geographies.
You'll support in securing global partnerships with a variety of organisations, including Think Tanks, NGOs, Membership Bodies and Academic Institutions, to embed BECCS as a core tool in the global toolbox in the fight against climate change.
Reporting to the International Partnerships & Advocacy Manager, day to day you'll work with colleagues across Corporate Affairs to successfully deliver our partnerships & advocacy engagement.
You'll also work with strategic communications, public affairs, sales, and external comms teams to maximise the impact of our interventions on the global stage, ensuring Drax's purpose and value are brought to life through the creation of impactful content, collateral, and materials to be used across the business.
The unique contribution of this role is to elevate our engagement and impact to the global stage - securing our BECCS licence to operate in line with our global ambition.
About You
As part of the International Partnerships and Advocacy team, you'll work with a Global team, so you'll have great administration, project, and stakeholder management skills.
You'll have good numerical knowledge and a commercial approach.To support this, you'll need to have experience in working with various kinds of software, such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and you'll be open to learning new, bespoke Drax platforms.
A natural networker you'll be at home speaking to stakeholders at all levels internally and externally and will build strong and meaningful relationships to deliver our Advocacy strategy successfully.
Finally, you'll have a good eye for visual detail and be able to spot opportunities for improvement in processes and ways of working.
This is a London-based role but a willingness to travel to other Drax sites and external events and meetings internationally is important.
