Blackpool Council are currently recruiting for a Day Duty Assistant to join their adult care and support team.The main purpose of this role is to provide a monitoring, emergency mobile response, advice and support service within a 24hour service to vulnerable adults both inside and outside Blackpool
This position is based on a 6 month contract however that can increase or even become permanent depending on your performance
What you will do:
- Provide welfare checks, advice, guidance and direct support to service users
- Provide an emergency response to medical or other emergency situations to people in their own homes
- Role may involve lifting and administering first aid
What you need:
- First aid certificate or willingness to undertake training and complete
- Moving and handling training or willingness to undertake training and complete
- Computer literacy and knowledge of database management
- Understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults
Once they are placed and complete their probationary period you receive a £250 bonus
