Are you passionate about supporting people in crisis? We are looking for enthusiastic Admin volunteers who enjoy being part of a supportive team and are friendly and welcoming.

Our Admin volunteers support the team by uploading detailed information to the service casework management database and ensuring these records are up to date.

It's really important that information is entered accurately so that it is easier to put families back in touch.

You will also be calling service users to make appointments, sometimes with the help of an interpreter, as well as responding to telephone enquiries.

This can be a distressing time for people we are supporting, so as an Admin volunteer you will help to make people feel comfortable whether in person or over the telephone.

- Tasks: Keeping databases up to date- Phoning people to make appointments

  • Answering the phone, dealing with new enquiries and taking details, letting people know if we are unable to help them and signposting to appropriate organisations
  • Skills: Strong communication skills and empathetic about the situation and needs of refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants
  • IT literate and a willingness to learn and use the casework management database
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience of working with complex and personal information
  • Able to volunteer in a multicultural environment
  • Can calmly support people who are in distress
  • Respect and follow our confidentiality policy
