EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER (media relations and social media focus) - B2B FINANCIAL SERVICES

Excellent new External Communications Manager role has been created at a leading global financial services institution. Reporting into the Head of Corporate Communications

EMEA you will develop and deliver communications strategies for external audiencesin the EMEA region with a particular focus on media relations and the social media plans.

You will need proven experience of managing proactive media relations activities (ideally in EMEA), as well as experience managing social media activities and channels.

Experience should come from a B2B Financial Services environment

You will manage a variety of spokespeople in the region to support a proactive media agenda which communicates thought leadership, strengths and strategic business priorities.

You will also help to manage the activity of the agency relationships

You will also oversee and be responsible for all social media activity through platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter, as well as the company website.

You will create and implement strategies that grow engagement on social channels and develop content forselect EMEA executives.

You will also support the Head of Corporate Communications with the CEO/executive traditional and social media agenda.

Experience required:

Minimum of 5 years corporate communications / external communications experience gained either in house or agency/consultancy side
Must have experience of working within the B2B Financial Services / Capital Markets space (eg.banking, asset management or insurance)
Strong media relations experience
Established relationships with EMEA media preferred
Crisis communications experience an advantage
Some experience managing social media communications activity
Strong writing skills
