Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) is one of the UK's leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers.

The unique feature about IFA is the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location.

Operating from a ft2 facility in Sheffield, we manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector.

Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Production Control Manager, you will prioritise and plan workload on forge production units, based on requirements of Production Control.

Key Accountabilities

Implementing and maintaining the computerised planning system to maintain departmental production schedules, forecast sales, customer update information.
Daily liaison with production departments to ensure plan is maintained or issues are reported and acted on appropriately.
Management and expediting of orders from order receipt to despatch, including communication with NPI team prior to production.
Work with wider production control team to ensure all ancillary functions are kept at an appropriate standard. This can include but is not limited to stock control, management of subcontractors, liaising with customers and continuous improvement projects covering a wide range of activities.
Responsible for paperwork control, issue of paperwork to operations.
Feedback progress to business and management team.
