Description

Description:

AXA offers a 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme service to its clients, and we are looking to expand our dynamic team of Telephone Counsellors on a permanent or fixed term basis.

As a Telephone Counsellor you'll carry out a psychological needs assessment with service users and recommend a clinically appropriate referral.

You'll work with a vast array of mild, to moderate mental health needs which will include stress, anxiety and depression; through to attachment difficulties, substance abuse, trauma and personality disorders.

Please note, this role does not include delivering on-going therapy.

However, that first call will be crucial to the client, so we expect high standards of ethical codes of practice.

Your clinical skills and training will be invaluable to make appropriate clinical recommendations.

You'll work from home with the requirement to travel to our Glasgow office about three times a year. Your travel expenses will be covered by AXA.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern:
Our service operates across a 24-hour period and we are open daily, all year round.

We're currently looking for overnight cover, where you would work a minimum of 22.5 hours per week to suit your commitments elsewhere.

This will consist of two overnight shifts and one day shift as a minimum. Shifts last 7.5 hours and do include bank and public holidays.

Induction & Training:
You'll receive a comprehensive induction to set you up for success in your new role. The induction period will last 3 weeks. You will be required to attend training at the Glasgow office for two weeks. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by AXA, including a daily meal allowance.

Please be aware that if successful, we carry out PVG/DBS checks as part of our offer process.
