To work as part of the ChurchillHospital and Out of County Administration team to provide a comprehensive and effective administrative service and support to the Hospitals and Out of County Social Work teams, including John Radcliffe and Horton Sites.


To support the signposting of referrals for Hospitals & Out of County Social Work team and Community Hospitals, on all sites.


This would include working on and updating spreadsheets, reports, databases, supporting the social workers with day to day office duties.


The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

1.

To provide administrative and clerical support to the Hospital based and Out of County Social Work Teams. This post will, include working at any of the Trust's sites as required.

2.


To be the first point of contact for the team and respond to incoming telephone enquiries, answering queries, referring elsewhere or advising colleagues as appropriate.

3.


To action and record all referrals for the Hospitals and Out of County Administrative Team as a priority and signpost to the relevant discipline to ensure potential discharges are dealt with in a timely fashion.

4.


To maintain the electronic mailboxes for the Hospitals and Out of County Administration Team, supporting and signposting information in a timely fashion.

5.


To update and maintain databases for the County Council and OUH with appropriate information, updating and creating new records and extracting reports as necessary, following legislation, policy and procedures.

Read, write and modify databases for the team as appropriate to support discharge planning and smooth transfer of care. This will include the maintenance of

  • LAS (Liquid Logic)
  • SharePoint
  • EPR (Electronic Patient Records)
The above list is not exhaustive. Other databases may be required to be used as and when required.

7.

Support to other social Teams as requested by Hospital Administration Manager.

8.

Undertake general office duties including the distribution of mail, photocopying, filing, and taking minutes

9.


To read, write and modify referral excel spread sheets for the Hospitals and Out of County Social Work team and also the Trust.

11.


To continually develop the necessary skills including computer literacy to undertake a wide range of tasks ensuring flexibility in the workplace.

12.

Provision of information and resource to community teams and partnership organisations.

13.


To carry out any other duties as required and directed by the Hospital Administration Manager, Lead Social Worker and/or Social Workers supporting the OUH.
