Jackson Hogg are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a regional leader in procurement to recruit a standalone, Head of Finance into their Gateshead based site.

The Head of Finance is a superb opportunity for an established Finance Manager or Financial Controller looking to lead a standalone finance function.

You'll hold, or be working towards a qualification (CIMA, ACA or ACCA).

You will have a diligent approach with attention to detail, have an appetite to take ownership of key projects confident, and be a team player with a collaborative attitude.

The key responsibilities of the Gateshead based Head of Finance are;

Lead preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Ownership of the year end process
Continuous management of working capital movements, and in particular stock
Maintain budget through ongoing review and iteration of key assumptions
Liaise with banking partners and other external stakeholders
Provide commercial guidance and recommendations to the MD and shareholders
Define finance process and policies and suggest improvements to existing practice
Identify system upgrade opportunities, recommend action, and lead implementation
Ownership of commercial contracts in areas such as insurance, property etc.
Support analysis and diligence of acquisition opportunities
